Mr. Friedeck is the Managing Director of Asset Management & Operations at Magnolia Capital & STYL Residential, a nationally focused real estate investor based in Chicago. Mr. Friedeck oversees asset management, revenue, marketing and capital for Magnolia Capital.
Prior to joining Magnolia Capital, Mr. Friedeck worked for LivCor, a Blackstone Portfolio Company focused on multifamily. Mr. Friedeck was one of the first employees hired at LivCor and was responsible for the creation and implementation of several processes involving cross-department collaboration to benchmark LivCor’s operating partners on their performance as well as the onboarding, budgeting and forecasting of several portfolio acquisitions. In his tenure at LivCor Mr. Friedeck continuously improved and created new processes as the company acquired and sold a total of 275 properties (82,000 units) from 40 properties (12,000 units) when he started. Mr. Friedeck was promoted to oversee the Revenue department at LivCor where he led a team responsible for $600M in yearly rental income; since Mr. Friedeck took over the revenue department LivCor achieved YOY outperformance in revenue growth when benchmarked against every major REIT (ESS, UDR, AVB, AIV, MAA, EQR & CPT). This success was due to the synergy Mr. Friedeck created through having an acute understanding and collaboration between his department, the marketing department and the renovation department.
Prior to working at LivCor Mr. Friedeck worked at Equity LifeStyle properties responsible for budgeting and forecasting for the NE region, consisting of 56 properties in 15 states. Additionally, Mr. Friedeck worked for Sedgwick Properties Development Corporation where he assisted in the pre-development, construction and closeout of 6 ground of condominium developments totaling over 1,500 units and $350M.
Mr. Friedeck has completed all of the real estate coursework from the University of Chicago Booth School of business as well as received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
